Dutchie, the cannabis POS and ecommerce platform, has added Digital Signage. Its page leads with “Digital menu boards, curated for your store.” Boards are built in Dutchie Admin, and each store’s screens show that store’s own prices and stock.
For a store already on Dutchie, that is a tidy idea. It also fits a wider pattern: one vendor for the register, the online menu, the TVs and the AI on top. Here is what Dutchie has published, why the bundle appeals, and what it means for email, Wallet cards and loyalty.
What Dutchie has announced
All of this is from Dutchie’s Digital Signage page, as of Oct 22, 2026.
- Early access. The only call to action is “Request early access”.
- Needs Dutchie E-Commerce. In Dutchie’s words, it “specifically requires Dutchie E-Commerce”. Stores on another POS or ecommerce platform cannot use it.
- No published price. Dutchie has not published a price on the page. Ask Dutchie.
- Your own TVs. Each screen needs a Fire TV Stick or an Android TV device and is paired with a short code. No proprietary hardware.
- Register data. Category, strain type, potency and price come from the same product records the register uses. Prices and stock sync on their own, and out-of-stock items come off the board.
- Layouts. Horizontal or vertical boards (a playlist holds one or the other, not both), across multiple locations. The wider Digital Signage system also runs standalone images and video; menu boards are where it starts.
The last question in Dutchie’s FAQ asks whether a store still needs a separate menu board or signage vendor. Dutchie’s answer is no: nothing for a separate vendor to read or redraw, and no second system to keep in sync.
Why the all-in-one bundle appeals
That answer is the case for bundling, and it is a fair one.
- One product record. Board, register and online menu read the same data, so a price cannot drift between them.
- One vendor. One login, one support line, one contract.
- Fewer moving parts. No menu feed to set up and no extra system to watch.
Dutchie is moving the same way elsewhere. Its consumer AI features (voice AI, a register co-pilot, agentic commerce and consumer pulse) come with the Dutchie POS, and Dutchie has an MCP in preview, listed as coming soon. For a store that runs everything on Dutchie E-Commerce and plans to stay, signage from the same place is a sensible option.
The trade-off is choice
A bundle is easiest on the day you sign. The trade-offs come later. A tool that needs Dutchie E-Commerce has to be replaced if you ever change POS or ecommerce, and so does anything else that only works inside one platform. An add-on without a public price is also hard to weigh against tools that publish theirs.
None of this makes the bundle wrong. The real decision is which layers you tie to your POS and which you keep portable.
Email and loyalty have the longest memory
Moving screens is mostly setup work. Marketing is different, because it holds things a store earns slowly:
- Sending reputation. Inboxes judge a sender by its history. A new sending IP starts its warm-up from zero.
- Cards in phones. A Wallet card a member installed is a channel you keep only while that card keeps working.
- Points and tiers. Members expect their balance to follow them.
- Attribution history. Knowing which send moved which register ticket gets more useful over time.
That is why wudls sits beside the POS, not inside it. wudls works with Dutchie, and with Treez, Dispense, Flowhub, Cova, Alpine IQ and Springbig, so a Dutchie store can bundle what it likes and still keep its marketing its own:
- Email from your own dedicated IP, with automatic warm-up and an auto-pause if complaints or bounces spike.
- Apple and Google Wallet cards with points, today’s deal, artwork you change remotely and lock-screen notifications. A Wallet push costs nothing per message.
- Loyalty points and tiers synced with the POS, with no extra tablet at the counter.
- Purchase attribution: which send moved which register ticket, in 1, 7 and 14 day windows.
What connects for a Dutchie store, and how deep each part goes, is on our Dutchie integration page. The price is public: $250 a month per store, up to 1.5 million emails a month, with loyalty and Wallet cards included. See pricing.
Screens and website AI that work with any of five POS systems
If the bundle appeals mostly for the screens, there is an option that is live today and not tied to one POS. Two products from the wudls family cover screens and the website.
DopeCast for TV menus
DopeCast runs TV menu boards and digital signage for dispensaries. It reads Dutchie (through the Dutchie POS API key), Treez, Flowhub, Cova or Dispense, or a website menu feed. Price and stock reach the screens on their own, and sold-out products disappear. It runs on your own TVs with a Fire Stick, Android TV or any HDMI streaming device; DopeCast never sells hardware.
- Video walls, live in stores today: several TVs play as one picture, in sync, across portrait or landscape screens, with the bezels allowed for.
- Seasonal themes a store can switch on, starting with Halloween this month.
- $30 per screen per month, capped at $120 per store. Creating an account is free.
- Coming soon: plug-and-play API keys so a home-built POS or app can send its menu to the screens, and an MCP so the store’s AI assistant can work with them.
DopeCast compares the two in detail: Dutchie Digital Signage vs DopeCast.
BudBot for your website
BudBot from VirtualBudz is an AI budtender on the store’s own website, built on the live menu, so it recommends what is in stock at the store’s prices. It works with Dutchie (the POS API, or the public Dutchie menu with no key), Treez, Dispense, Flowhub and Cova, goes in with one line of code, and starts at $100 per store per month. VirtualBudz looks at the bundle from the website side in its post on Dutchie’s all-in-one bundle.
DopeCast, BudBot and wudls all work with Treez, Flowhub, Cova and Dispense too, so changing your register later does not mean starting over on screens, website AI or marketing.

Questions to ask before you bundle everything
- Does my setup qualify? Digital Signage needs Dutchie E-Commerce.
- What will it cost, per screen or per store, and is it billed on its own? There is no price on the page as of Oct 22, 2026.
- When does early access end, and what changes for my store when it does?
- Does it cover what my screens do today: video walls across several TVs, seasonal themes, video?
- If I change POS or ecommerce in two years, which tools keep working and which do I rebuild?
- Who holds my sending reputation, my members’ Wallet cards and their points history, and can they move with me?
- Can my own AI assistant run it, and which parts are live today versus in preview?
The short version
Dutchie Digital Signage is a reasonable pick for a store that runs fully on Dutchie E-Commerce and wants one vendor. To keep your options open, choose tools that work with Dutchie and with whatever you might run next. For email, Wallet cards and loyalty, that is what wudls is built for.
